Here’s how it works

COLLECT & REVIEW

We collect and review some data, this can include labs (you are welcome to bring them with you or I can order them ahead of time through your lab of choice or Burke Primary Care’s lab) and any previous records you wish to share. Large volume medical record review will be an additional charge at $250/hour. You will fill out a Lifestyle Medicine Assessment which will touch on the 6 areas that Lifestyle Medicine interventions address.

SCHEDULE CONSULT

Schedule your Lifestyle Medicine Consultation. We will address how Lifestyle Interventions can address your chronic disease management and/or improve your health.  We will assess your readiness for change: are you collecting information only, are you dipping your foot in and testing this out or are you ready to jump in head first and see what happens. We then set individualized goals and commit to change. Follow up visits will track progress and habit formation, address barriers to change, and maintenance. I am hopeful this process will be health changing for you now and long into the future.

MAINTAINENCE

Do you want to track changes to your Skeletal Muscle mass and Body Fat percentage? Body composition analysis is a great way to see if the changes you are making are effective. Patients with rapid weight loss such as those on GLP-1s, like Wegovy, Zepbound and Saxenda, lose muscle mass in addition to fat mass. Using body composition can guide dietary and training focus to offset this. I use this as part of my Lifestyle Medicine visits but you can schedule them separately as part of your path to health and wellness.
